KWV di Paarl
KWV ha sede a Paarl, nella regione del Western Cape (Coastal Region) del Sudafrica. Fondata nel 1918 come Koöperatieve Wijnbouwers Vereniging van Zuid-Afrika, nacque come cooperativa di viticoltori con l'obiettivo di coordinare produzione e commercializzazione di vino a livello nazionale. Nel tempo si è sviluppata come azienda che produce e distribuisce vini e distillati su scala più ampia.
La produzione di KWV comprende vini fortificati (ad esempio Cape Medium Cream) e vini varietali e da assemblaggio; tra le etichette sono presenti linee come The Mentors con referenze di Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon e Grenache Blanc. L'orientamento produttivo privilegia la produzione commerciale e la consistenza di prodotto, con attività rivolte sia al mercato interno sudafricano sia all'export.
